COMPETITION TERMS

Draft terms — the organiser should review these before launch.

1. The prize

The 20 highest-ranked eligible players at the closing time each receive one complimentary entry to MIND THE GAP at FOX & FIRKIN, Ladywell. Entries are non-transferable and have no cash alternative. All other attendees must buy tickets.

2. Dates

Opens: TBC. Closes: TBC (UK time, Europe/London). Positions shown before the close are provisional.

3. Entry and eligibility

Entry is free. No purchase is necessary and joining WhatsApp is not required. One account and one competition entry per person; duplicate or fake accounts will be disqualified. Players must be 18+ (or the event's minimum age) to attend.

4. Scoring

There are three routes (train, bus, cab). Finishing any one route registers you. Each route awards up to 500 points for its three questions, up to 1,000 points for timing accuracy and a race-clock bonus of up to 167 points (time spent answering and tapping only). Your competition score is the total of your best score on each route, up to 5,000. Scores are calculated on our servers and appear on the leaderboard straight away. You may replay as often as you like; replays do not create extra entries.

5. Tie-breaks

Where players have the same best score, the player who achieved that score first ranks higher.

6. Fair play

Scores go on the leaderboard instantly, but we may remove results that look impossible or suspicious. We may disqualify players who cheat, tamper with the game or use automated tools, and record the reason. No browser game is completely cheat-proof; our decision on verification is final.

7. Winners

After the close we freeze scores, check for cheating, confirm eligibility, confirm the Top 20 and contact winners by email. If a winner cannot be verified or does not respond within 72 hours, the entry may pass to the next eligible player.

8. Organiser

The competition is run by the MIND THE GAP event organiser. It is not affiliated with Transport for London.
