MIND THE GAP

PRIVACY NOTICE

Draft notice — the organiser should add their name and contact address before launch.

What we collect

Your first and last name, nickname, email address, optional mobile number, game scores and attempt timings, and basic usage events (for example, button clicks).

Why

To register you for MIND THE GAP priority access, run the free-entry competition fairly, prevent duplicate or fraudulent entries, and tell you about priority tickets for this event. Legal basis: performing the competition you entered and our legitimate interests in running a fair event.

Event registration and competition

Playing creates one registration and one competition entry. Only your nickname and score appear publicly on the leaderboard. Names, emails and phone numbers are never shown publicly.

Contacting winners

We contact winners using the email address (and phone number if given) on their account.

Marketing

We only send promotional messages about future events if you ticked the optional box. Event updates about this event are separate operational messages. You can withdraw consent at any time.

WhatsApp

Joining the priority WhatsApp is optional. We only record that the link was clicked, not whether you joined.

Retention

We keep registration and competition data for up to 12 months after the event, then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to processing, or withdraw marketing consent. Contact the organiser to make a request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
